Our breakfast meeting on Tuesday had very much a family feel to it with our speaker, Nick Young informing us of the work being done on the Indonesian island of Sumba to combat the high rates of malaria. His colleague and fellow graduate from Griffith University, Alex Bennett assisted in presenting an insight to the Sumba Project which began five years ago as a medical student-run charity aiming to establish sustainable health outcomes for the people of Sumba.

Nick’s parents Andrew and Carolyn together with his friend, Paris attended the meeting to hear these two inspirational young doctors inform us on this project.

As you know our club is hosting a 4pm performance of The World Festival of Magic on Saturday, 10 November and I am very pleased with the response from the business community of Northern Sydney in supporting the event.

On the night of that same day at the Halloween Party being held at the Cammeray Golf Club we will have good reason to celebrate the success of the Magic show.

Our next breakfast on Tuesday, 6 November we will be having a Club Forum.
