Last Tuesday, we heard from Val Southam about the great work that is being
achieved by Keep Australia Beautiful to reduce the impact of litter in our
environment. This National body is leading the campaign on litter reduction and
sustainability through programs to engage the community, business and
government to Keep Australia Beautiful.

On Friday, 23 November our club was invited to have a table at the North
Sydney Seniors Expo held at Norths Club in Cammeray. We had five club members in attendance promoting Rotary and engaging with the community, Andrew, Ken, Jaz, Cathie and myself. The two other club members present were Trent Zimmerman, the host of the event and Felicity Wilson in their roles as Federal and State members of the North Sydney region. Also, present were club members Greg and Don manning the Waverton Hub and Historical Society tables respectively.

The Expo was officially opened by the Hon Julie Bishop MP, Federal Member
for Curtin and the former Minister for Foreign Affairs.  This is the third annual running of this event and all in attendance agreed that is was a success.

You will see an invitation later in this bulletin to our Xmas dinner at Xenos Restaurant in Crows Nest. I look forward to seeing you there on Tuesday, 11 December.

Our breakfast meeting on Tuesday, 27 November will have Techa Beaumont
telling us about her Rotary Peace Fellow experiences in Peru.
