We welcomed our friend Denise Ward last Tuesday to update us on the vast number of programs and services the Crows Nest Centre provides to people in the North Sydney region.  I urge you to drop into the Centre when next in Crows Nest to see the wonderful work Denise, her staff and the team of volunteers are achieving that connect the community, to sustain community wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

At the recent President’s meeting I attended at Hornsby RSL the topic of a proposed merger of the two Rotary Districts in the Sydney region was discussed. Such amalgamation of District’s 9675 and 9685 is only in the early stages of dialog but clubs in both Districts have been requested to view 2 videos and have members present their thoughts on the pros and cons of such taking place.

At our club forum on Tuesday, 5 February we will present these videos and invite members to join the discussion, concluding with a vote on the proposal.

On Tuesday, 29 January our speaker Sam Westly will inform us on his vision to create a not-for-profit organisation that connects young and older Australians through his unique housing proposal.
