At last Tuesday’s breakfast we heard from Stephen Miller, President Elect of Lane Cove Rotary Club, on the wonderful work being done by his club’s Small Grants Indonesia Project.  As you will know North Sydney Sunrise has been a supporter of many projects in Indonesia through the Nusa Tenggara Association and we will continue to do so in the future.  Our club’s Treasurer, Moira has visited the region and confirms the vast improvements in living standards local villagers are enjoying through Rotary’s involvement.

I urge members to attend our meeting on Tuesday, 7 May to hear from speaker Stephanie Heighes on the Dance and Music Festival held in West Timor last November. Our club applied for and received a Rotary District Grant to assist with the presentation of this event.

On Tuesday, 30 April our speaker will be Professor Tom Smith to advise us on the “Cashless Society“ and that evening myself and other club members will be attending a dinner at the Kirribilli Club to celebrate Crows Nest Rotary Club’s 50th Anniversary.
