Sarah Ludowici our guest speaker last Tuesday inspired all present with her achievements in the UltraTrail events she has entered and won both in Australia and other countries.  Imagine running 2 ½ times the distance of a marathon with a majority of the course on fire trails and bush tracks with large changes in elevation and you have an idea how extreme this sport is!

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our Halloween Party which was to be held in early November due to the lack of confirmed attendees.  Whilst we had already paid $220 for the room hire, I am pleased to confirm that the Cammeray Golf Club has kindly offered to carry forward this amount against a future venue hire.

As you know our club has in the past joined with our neighbouring Rotary clubs to host a Pride of Workmanship Awards night. I am pleased to advise that we have proposed that next year’s event be held in March at the Cammeray Golf Club which will allow the use of our credit for venue hire.

Thursday, 24 October is World Polio Day and volunteers from our club will be at Milsons Point Railway Station during the morning commuter rush collecting for this great cause.  Some of us will also greet Mark Anderson and his team of rail travellers when they stop at Milsons Point  , one of 195 stations they pass through during the day,  with an estimated time of arrival at 1.50pm.

There will be a Club forum held at our breakfast meeting on Tuesday, 22 October.
