On Tuesday, 26 November our club held the Annual General Meeting and a Club Forum.  I was very pleased to confirm that Cathie Glinka has accepted the role of President for the 2020 – 2021 Rotary year and all members present extended their congratulations to Cathie.  I look forward to assisting her in the role of President Elect over the next 7 months to ensure Cathie has a smooth transition as President of North Sydney Sunrise.

At the Club Forum our member Lindy Hunt enquired what Rotary is doing to assist in Samoa with the measles outbreak which to date has killed 39 people.  I am awaiting a reply from our AG Ward Pollard on how best our club can assist.

On Tuesday, 19 November the NTA held a Music and Dance Festival in East Indonesia in a village called Pogon.  The event involved 255 students and 34 teachers from 13 primary schools in the region.  Stephanie Heighes from NTA has advised us that the festival was a great success and there will be photos and more details appearing in next week’s bulletin.

On Tuesday, 3 December our speaker will be Kerrie Dougherty who will speak on the subject – Australia’s role in the Apollo lunar program.
