Striving for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics

Striving for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics

Liam Twomey is 23 years old and lives in North Bondi.  He is currently training with the hope of becoming a Paralympian and representing Australia at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020.  He was diagnosed with a Ewings sarcoma cancer in his right foot at age 7 and had a below the knee amputation about 12 months later after going through chemotherapy.

He will talk about his life experiences - being diagnosed with cancer at a young age and the things that he went through both externally & internally during that process.  Then he will talk about his renewed passion for life through sport and his big goal of making the Tokyo Paralympic team by 2020. Also elaborating on the way in which he has gone about it and what drives him.
